March 2008

Deanna Weiler from Ashland, Va. came to Snowshoe content
to watch friends and family ski. Then someone told her about
the Adaptive Program. Within minutes of her first visit she
was fitted into a bi-ski and the next morning she was out on the
snow. She responded after her first lesson, "It's fun! It's
great! I can't wait to come back and learn some more." CAWV
instructor Riley McDowell explained, "She's been working on her
balance and turning. We worked on basics and we'll proceed from
there." Deanna's goal is to keep learning and to be independant
so she can ski with her family.
